With its now! no.14 range, hülsta is launching a new Living Room World for design-oriented individualists who love something out of the ordinary ¬without compromising on a clean design and excellent quality. Unpretentious but impressive, exciting yet harmonious. The clean lines offer versatile, stylish and comprehensive solutions for living and dining rooms. In combination with individual units, such as antique pieces of furniture, its simplistic design can create exciting contrasts. The versatile appearance of now! no.14 is partly due to one striking feature: exhibits that are considered to be worthy of a “museum-like” display will be well protected and beautifully highlighted within the innovative glass cubes of this revolutionary cabinet.

Modular system in high-gloss and wood

A wide choice of modular units are the basis of this new range, which delivers a kind of post-modern successor to the traditional “living-room combination” as well as stunning individual units. There are closed versions in three heights – from the sideboard to the highboard – with white or black-brown high-gloss fronts, and open units in light brown ash or core walnut. The drawer front versions can also be combined to provide eye-catching highlights.

Depending on the combination, the units can be unobtrusive or form an exciting focal point. The veneer of the light brown ash with its natural grain creates just as peaceful an appearance as does the core walnut veneer that is free of any irregularities. Modern lacquering techniques protect the surfaces: EverFinish makes rolled lacquered and wooden surfaces more resistant, while EverShine protects the high-gloss surfaces. In addition to the MagicClose drawer cushioning device, a fitted brush seal ensures that components close gently where fronts and main unit frames meet.

Glass cubes and plays on light

As a contemporary design highlight, now! no.14 convinces with high-quality radiance, timelessly beautiful shapes as well as intelligent functionalities. The combination of various surface versions and the possibility to integrate high-quality stained glass components leave plenty of scope for your individual creativity. Cubes especially developed by hülsta feature invisible brackets and can add a striking finishing touch to your modular units whilst proving useful for presenting your own personal treasures. The high-quality bonnets enhance the unit both in their practical use and by offering a new level in individual room design – they are also a good-humoured reminder of the good old cabinet in which people would store, display and protect their most valued possessions.

Whilst the design is kept intentionally simple and straightforward, the themes of lighting and atmosphere are central features of the now! no.14 range: the innovative illuminated LED shelf immerses the glass cube in a gentle, indirect beam of light from underneath – it is not spotlighted but lit up over its entire transparent surface. An optional remote control unit for all the light fittings ensures easy operation of the lights. In addition to the probably most contemporary type of cabinet, extravagant two-part coffee tables, made up of a substructure and bridge, magnanimous TV units, inviting dining tables and versatile wall shelves are further key features of the range.

With now! time, hülsta has launched a most straightforward yet variable range for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and home offices. It has now been extended to include additional versions and materials. Friends of modern living room culture, who love clear forms and peaceful colours just as much as the freedom to create their own individual designs, may choose from a total of six different surface versions in order to achieve a wide range of effects. Composed completely in one colour, now! time takes on a classical, peaceful look, but it can also be highly elegant, especially in the high-gloss and wood versions with glass. If you combine different units and surface versions, now! time will produce a most harmonious-looking living-room landscape or a striking visual contrast, depending upon the choice of colour. In addition to the front units and carcases in polar-white lacquer, sand lacquer, oak mocca and walnut, fronts in high-gloss polar-white and high-gloss sand are now also available to add some glossy touches.

A look inside thanks to angled doors

As a visual highlight, an extraordinary cabinet concept makes this range immediately recognisable: attractive angled doors in a “C” shape provide both a free view of the interior and extra shelf space for your ornaments thanks to the use of glass – combining two of these doors will form a central glass window in a symmetrical frame. Space-saving wooden doors in an “L“ shape and translucent satinized glass doors also play a part in this stunning display of open, closed and transparent components. An elegant sliding door, which conceals open sections within seconds, when required, also proves to be in full command of this beautiful game of “hide and seek”.

DThe combination of modular units with a side-panel system opens up numerous possibilities for a living room design that is both easy to plan and highly individual, and one which can adapt to meet your own personal taste and the widest variety of architectural demands on site. With these units “anywhere goes”, because they can even be mounted in the middle of a wall.

now! time provides large, extendable dining tables, bed units with textile upholstery, wall consoles and integrated lighting, which is both beautiful and practical, plus matching desks mobile containers; timeless now! time – units for the dining room, bedroom or home office.

The high-quality workmanship of this range is also clearly visible in its extra fittings: SoftFlow is the practical automatic closing device on all the drawers while MagicClose gently closes all the hinged wooden doors. The Push-to-open-device opens drawers in the side-panel system with a slight push.
